Roshan 2017 & 2018 Update

Dear Battle Pass Reward Recipient,

Today, we are pleased to announce that the Collector’s Baby Roshan statue redesign is complete and the shipping phase has begun.

After the feedback we received when we delivered the previous statue, we worked on developing a new build process where each statue is individually hand-crafted with higher quality materials, and the result is that Baby Roshan is now physically larger, heavier, and has improved detail.

We are excited to share with you the results of this effort in the comparison photos below, which highlight the design changes between the old version (left) and the new (right). Each year’s statue will have its own unique base trim and finish to complement the theme of that year’s Battle Pass.

We are shipping the 2017 statues first, followed by the 2018 version. Shipments will go out in regular batches of increasing sizes to allow for a careful quality assessment and review on each statue as they are packed and delivered. Our goal is to make sure each and every customer is satisfied with the statue when it arrives. We estimate that all outstanding shipments will be completed for both years within 2-3 months, with tracking numbers for the initial batch sent out next week starting Monday.

We deeply apologize for the significant delays on these statues, as we had to overcome significant production process challenges to get a reliable process in place. We wanted to take the time to make sure it was done right this time rather than settling for an inferior product. This ended up adding considerable delay, but we hope you’ll agree it was worth it. Thank you for supporting Dota, and for your patience in allowing us the time to make improvements to the Collector’s Baby Roshan statue reward. To help show our appreciation, Valve will be granting you a custom-made Baby Roshan in-game courier within the next month, exclusive to 2017 and 2018 Collector’s Baby Roshan recipients.
